May 15! Mid-Continent Modern Book Launch
Exciting News, Events, and Articles Following the Release of Mid-Continent Modern
Dear Community,
Thank you all again for the tremendous support of Mid-Continent Modern. We are so thrilled to now be able to bring this project to you, both in terms of the book itself, and as exhibited work!
Tomorrow, May 15th, from 4-6PM, we will be having the Book Launch and Exhibit of the project at the Krannert Art Museum on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Photographer and founder of Immaterial Books, Phillip Kalantzis-Cope, will be there alongside architect Jeffery Poss, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
Since we received and began shipping the pre-orders for this publication, we have begun working with local partners to stock the book. Most recently, you can find the book, and much more, at The Furniture Lounge and Art Mart, located at 11 East University Avenue in Champaign, IL.
Recently, Phil had the pleasure of sitting down with WCIA News ciLiving Program to talk about the book, how it came to be, and the significance of the Champaign School of Mid-Century Architecture. Check out the full interview of Phil with ciLiving here and the article they ran about the book!
Lastly, be on the lookout this week at the renowned art and architecture platform MAS CONTEXT, who will be running an article and featuring some of the work from this publication.
We hope to see you tomorrow!
